PREPARATION, SUCCESS AND LUCK by Kevin Bidwell OK, I admit it, sometimes success IS the result of luck.
We happen to be in the right place at the right time, we think up the next "Pet Rock" (if you're too young, ask your parents), our little screenplay gets nabbed by Spielberg.
I'll give you that--sometimes success comes to the lucky.
But that success is VERY short lived.
Enduring and consistent success springs from people who are PERSISTENT and PREPARED. Just take my friend Bill...
Bill is the trainer down at my gym. I have known him for about 8 years. He's 5'4" of compact muscle--16.5" biceps look HUGE on a guy that size.
When the new movie 'Seabiscuit' was being filmed just north of here in Lexington, Toby McGuire needed a body double-- someone who had, let's say, a little more J-Lo. Bill was tapped to be Toby's Butt in a number of scenes.
He worked for several days--at a decent rate of pay--around some of the biggest names in Hollywood. He got to ride horses (real jockeys did most of the "racing" sequences, but Bill's arms were used in some of the shots), go to a couple parties and actually get into a movie.
Bill' a pretty lucky guy, huh?
Not really.
You see, Bill has been "working his way" into the movies for as long as I have known him. He has prepared his body (he is leaner and bigger now than I have ever seen him before) and his mind (BA in theater and broadcasting). He has traveled, auditioned and generally worked his "better-than- Toby's" butt off.
So, to an outsider, Bill seems lucky. To those of us who know him, Bill's first foray into movie Dom seems well deserved. He had been preparing for this first chance for many years.
What about you? Are you preparing yourself for your "lucky" break?
I have a list of recommended resources if you are wanting to prepare yourself for online business success. You can take a gander at them here:

and if you are ever in Williamsburg, drop by Family Fitness and ask for Bill at the desk. When you get him, ask him to turn around, then tell him "I loved you in Seabiscuit."
