CARE BEARS ARE LIGHTWORKERS! by Fran Hafey
I asked my daughter for some suggestions for Christmas presents
for my three Grandchildren and her reply was, "whatever you
bought for me and her brother and sister when they were kids
would be fine, because all the same stuff was back in style and
popular!
Yes, I had seen the Strawberry Short Cakes, the Spider Men, the
Ninja Turtles and Care Bears, plastering the sale papers for
months now, so this would not be difficult at all.
I generally like to buy the kids, children and Grandchildren,
presents that please them, but also teach or have good moral
standings. It's not easy buying toys without guns or swords, but
as long as they understand that the good guys are trying to help
the world and they have weapons to protect themselves and would
not use them unless they had to, I suppose that would work.
While talking with daughter number two on the phone, who is
expecting her first child in early summer next year, we also got
onto the topic of how the toys she had played with were back in
style and she thought it was great. She stated she could show her
kids pictures one day and say, "See Mommy was really cool, I had
the same kind of toys you have," hehe.
Then she began to tell me of a lady at work that was loud, rude
and had to top everything everyone else had to say. I could sense
this woman really just wanted attention and to feel love. So, I
told my daughter this...
"Do you remember the Care Bear cartoons?" She said yes, that they
are still on even today. I told her that in the cartoon, whenever
the Care Bears were trying to help someone or something, they
would all stand in a circle, hold hands and say, loudly "Care
Bear stare!" while the colorful pictures on their tummies or
hearts, would light up and rainbows of light would shoot out all
over the place, healing and sending love. Sometimes it was for a
burnt forest, a person who was sad or a sick tree, and even the
"bad guy," that was usually trying to destroy or hurt Mother
Earth.
As I began to share this with her, I realized that sure enough,
Care Bears are Lightworkers!!! They travel to many
places, using their energies and gifts to help others and all
life around them. They would get in some pretty sticky situations
at times, but when they all united in love and healing, they
always got the job done!
Isn't that great, that this wonderful idea was not just shared
with my own children, but has lived to now be shared with my
Grandchildren?
She and I giggled as we remembered together and agreed that the
Care Bears are doing a great job!
I then told her, the next time she is confronted with this woman,
who is seemingly obnoxious to her, just to look at her and send
her loving energy from her heart, just like the Care Bears and
that she may be very surprised with what may happen.
When we're shopping and the Malls are crowded and people are
scurrying to spend the last dime they have for the Holidays,
let's remember that in our hearts, we know the true meaning of
Christmas and that we can share love, light, peace and joy all
over the World and remember
to love like a Care Bear, share your light and love and always
give from within.
