BRING YOUR DREAM, VISION OR THEME TO LIFE by Wendy Hearn What do you do on a daily basis to you bring your
dream, vision or theme* to life? One way is to spend
time visualizing it. This gives you the opportunity
to keep your dream, vision or theme alive; it allows
you to be in the moment with it and the next step to
unfold naturally.
Visualizing is a simple process so start wherever you
feel comfortable, taking it one step at a time. To
start the process, close your eyes if possible, and
begin to bring your dream, vision or theme to life.
See yourself as the person you want to be and to have
what you truly want in your life. Take notice of
what's going on as you see this picture; who you are
being and what it looks and feels like. Note your
feelings as you're visualizing and it's the positive,
forward moving and enthusiastic feelings you need to
associate with. These feelings will enable you to
move forward in a natural, inspiring way.
Pay attention to the colours, smells and who you're
being in relation to your visualization. Now add more
colours to your visualization. Change the size of some
of it and play with the aspects you want to alter. You
can play it absolutely the way you want.
Visualizing is similar to creating a movie only this
movie is created in your mind. Once it's fixed mentally,
you can play it over and over again, as many times as
you want. Remember, at any time the movie can be edited
to suit you better and you will play the movie out in
real life at the pace that feels right for you. At
times your steps will be big; at other times they will
be small and occasionally you will take an outrageous
stride forward.
Ideally you need to visualize and see your movie as
many times as possible in a day. There are three key
times when I would definitely encourage you to
visualize. First, is when you wake up in the morning.
It's a great way to start the day and will leave you
feeling clearer about your intention, direction and
focus for the day ahead.
Second, is last thing at night just before you drift
off to sleep. This leaves an ideal image in your mind
for your subconscious to work with while you're
sleeping. Be aware of what comes into your mind when
you wake next morning; you'll find some interesting
and helpful clues.
Third, is when your belief in yourself is faltering,
your inspiration needs topping up or you're not sure
what to do next. Visualizing is a great antidote to
self-doubt or being unsure. The more you tap into your
visualization, the more you will benefit from it.
Visualizing is like many things, practice makes perfect
and I encourage you to commit to taking the first step
to visualize. Do as much or as little as suits you and
build on it.
What I want is for you to see yourself being the person
who does or has what you truly want in your life.
